Acknowledging the vitality of having a healthy workforce to the progress of an institution, Trinity University of Asia (TUA) signed a contract with Maxicare Healthcare Corporation last April 20, 2007, assigning the latter as the university's health maintenance organization (HMO).
The contract signing was attended by TUA's University President, Dr. Josefina Sumaya, Vice-President for Administration and Finance, Mrs. Leonora Yngente, and Human Resources Director, Mr. Jerico Buñing, and Maxicare's President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Jose Pastor Puno, Senior Vice-President for Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, Ms. Josephine Aguilar, and Vice-President for Underwriting and Actuarial, Mr. Victor Tanjuakio.
Witnessing the event were TUA's Finance Director, Mrs. Matilde Asuncion, Director for Medical and Dental Services, Dr. Bienvenido Gaddi, and Human Resources Assistant, Mrs. Nora Sambalido and Maxicare's Vice-President for New Business, Ms. Rodelee Uy, Sales Manager, Mr. Franz Joie Araque, and Corporate Accounts Officer, Ms. Fiona Marie Lava.
309 regular and permanent employees were enrolled in Maxicare's Health Management Corporate Programs with Trinity University of Asia paying P9,206 per employee, which fee was shouldered by TUA. Each employee is enrolled in the Gold Corporate Program with a maximum benefit limit (MBL) of P100,000, and which coverage date is April 17, 2007 to April 16, 2008.
Among the health and medical services that TUA regular and permanent employees can enjoy are the: Out-Patient Services, In-Patient Services, Annual Physical Examination, Preventive Care Services, and Emergency Care Services.
